Violin Bows and Pernambuco conservation

SHAR is pleased to be a GOLD sponsor of the International Pernambuco Conservation Initative.

For centuries pernambuco has been the premier wood used in making the best quality violin, viola, cello and bass bows.  Unfortunately, because of the high demand for pernambuco, the trees are becoming endangered.  The IPCI-USA is dedicated to saving the pernambuco tree through research, replanting programs, educational outreach and other conservation measures.

We encourage you to join and support them.  Find out more at IPCI-USA

You can also donate through SHAR by purchasing a 'Plant A Tree' sticker, ideal for your case or case tag to show your support.  100% of the $1 cost goes directly to the IPCI. Plant-A-Tree-Sticker.
